Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Housekeeping Linen Porter to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient handling and distribution of linen supplies across our hotel premises. This role is vital in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organisation within the housekeeping department, contributing to a welcoming environment for our guests. Previous hotel experience is preferred, but full training will be provided for the right candidate. The position offers an excellent opportunity to develop organisational skills within a professional hospitality setting.
Responsibilities
- Collect, transport, and distribute clean linen to various departments within the hotel
- Collect soiled linen from designated areas and ensure proper handling for laundry processing
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of linen storage areas
- Assist with the loading and unloading of laundry carts and linen supplies
- Ensure all linen is stored securely and in accordance with health and safety standards
- Report any damaged or missing linen items to management promptly
- Support the housekeeping team as needed to ensure smooth daily operations
Skills
- Previous experience in a hotel or hospitality environment is desirable
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
- Good physical stamina for lifting and moving linen throughout the shift
- Reliable with a positive attitude and good communication skills
- Ability to follow health and safety procedures diligently
