Chef Required – To Join Our Garden Centre Family Business
We are looking for an enthusiastic and talented Chef to join our established family-run business.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who takes pride in their work and enjoys creating new dishes, daily specials, and home-baked products. You will play a key role in managing the kitchen, supporting cooks of all levels, and helping to deliver high-quality food and service to our customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and work closely with kitchen staff at all levels
- Create menu items, recipes, specials, and seasonal dishes
- Ensure variety, quality, and consistency across the menu
- Determine food inventory requirements and place orders as needed
- Receive and check deliveries
- Prepare, cook, and present food efficiently to a high standard
- Monitor portion control and minimise waste
- Write and develop menus
- Ensure compliance with all food hygiene, HACCP, and health and safety regulations

Skills and Experience Required
- Previous experience working in a busy kitchen environment
- Creative approach to developing dishes while following specifications
- Good knowledge of HACCP and food safety procedures
- Ability to manage multiple orders and priorities
- Professional, reliable, and hardworking
- Able to remain calm under pressure
- Excellent time management skills
- Level 3 Food Hygiene qualification is advantageous
