Job Summary:
We are currently seeking a diligent Laundry Attendant to join our team at Ivelhurst Nursing Home in the heart of Yeovil. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and efficiency of our laundry operations.
Hours 8am-4pm
24- hours a week 3 days a week
Alternative weekends worked within this
Responsibilities:
- Sort, wash, dry, and fold linens and residents laundry with care and attention to detail
- Operate industrial laundry equipment following safety guidelines
- Handle and store all items following proper procedures
- Ensure all laundry areas are kept clean and organised
- Report any maintenance issues or equipment malfunctions promptly
- Assist with inventory management and stock control
- Uphold high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the laundry area
Skills:
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Knowledge of laundry operations and equipment is desirable
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
