Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Part Time Gardener to assist with maintaining and enhancing outdoor green spaces. The ideal candidate will have a passion for gardening and horticulture, along with practical experience in landscape maintenance. The successful applicant will be responsible for performing a range of gardening tasks using hand tools, power tools, and irrigation systems, ensuring the gardens are well-kept and thriving.
Responsibilities
- Utilise hand tools such as secateurs, spades, and rakes to prune, plant, and maintain garden beds.
- Operate power tools including lawnmowers, hedge trimmers, and leaf blowers to manage large areas efficiently.
- Assist with planting, weeding, mulching, and fertilising to promote healthy growth of plants and shrubs.
- Conduct landscape maintenance tasks such as edging lawns and trimming hedges to uphold aesthetic standards.
- Monitor plant health and identify signs of pests or diseases for appropriate action.
- Ensure all equipment is used safely and maintained in good working order.
- Support the overall organisation and cleanliness of outdoor work areas.
Experience
- Previous experience in gardening or horticulture is preferred but not essential; training can be provided for suitable candidates.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and irrigation systems is advantageous.
- Growing experience or knowledge of plant care, landscape maintenance, and garden design will be considered a plus.
- A genuine interest in gardening and outdoor work is essential for success in this role. Pay: £24,420.00-£41,574.34 per year
