At iCare Living, we are searching for compassionate Healthcare Assistants to join our team in Hereford. This role requires a Male Carer with care experience and the ability to manage Myoclonic atonic epilepsy, challenging behaviour, and use de-escalation techniques to support a 14 year old Male teenager with a heterozygous de novo genetic disorder which has caused developmental disorders, Learning disabilities and Complex Care needs which includes potentially needing Gastronomy in the future..
About the Role:
As a Healthcare Assistant, you will provide vital care and support, including managing daily tasks and addressing health concerns. This role offers:
- Supporting your client who has experienced difficulties in learning , has Myoclonic atonic epilepsy and challenging behaviours.
- Using de-escalation techniques to manage situations calmly and professionally.
- Delivering high-quality personal care and assisting with daily activities.
- Supporting out in the community
- Experience in NG feeding
What We’re Looking For:
- Care experience in epilepsy, challenging behaviours, and de-escalation techniques.
- Male candidates only
- Must like playing games, board games, computer games and be a lover of music
- This is a permanent, ongoing role. Applicants must have full, unrestricted work rights in the UK and the ability to work here on a permanent basis without employer sponsorship.
- You must hold a Enhanced Adult and Child DBS on the update service to start this role.
*If you do not currently have an Enhanced Adult and Child DBS on the update service, you will be responsible for the cost of obtaining one*.
