UK Food Packaging is looking for an ambitious and customer-focused Key Account Manager (KAM) to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone with strong account management and relationship-building skills who can manage key customer accounts and drive long-term business growth.
We are particularly interested in candidates with FMCG experience, ideally within food packaging or the wider packaging industry, who understand fast-paced customer environments and can identify opportunities to grow revenue and strengthen customer relationships.
As a Key Account Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining strong relationships with key customers, identifying new business opportunities, and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts and strategic customers
Conduct regular meetings with customers to understand their business needs and requirements
Manage and grow existing customer accounts while identifying opportunities for additional sales and business development
Track sales performance and achieve agreed targets
Prepare quotations, pricing agreements, and customer contracts
Resolve customer issues efficiently and maintain excellent customer service standards
Work closely with internal departments including sales, operations, finance, and customer service teams
Produce account reports and provide updates on customer performance and activity
Role Structure:
Office-based role located in North London (EN8)
Working hours: Monday–Friday, 9:00am–5:00pm
Approximately 40% of the role will involve customer visits and meetings
Skills & Experience Required:
Previous experience in Key Account Management, Account Management, Sales, or a similar role
FMCG experience is highly desirable, ideally within food packaging or packaging-related industries
Strong communication and relationship management skills
Excellent negotiation and problem-solving abilities
Good understanding of sales processes and customer account management
Experience using Microsoft Excel and CRM systems
Ability to manage multiple customer accounts effectively
Full UK driving licence preferred due to regular customer visits
