Job Overview
We are seeking a talented hair stylist, full or part-time, to join our dynamic and rapidly expanding salon in Hereford's city centre .
The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to providing exceptional customer service whilst showcasing their own personal creativity and technical skills in hair cutting, colouring and styling.
Some in salon experience is necessary plus NVQ2. This is an employed post offering an hourly rate plus commission, holiday pay, statutory sick pay and contributions to a government pension scheme. Staff welfare is a very high priority.

Responsibilities
- Provide a range of hair services including cutting, colouring, and styling to meet client needs. We use Wella colours and training can be given.
- Engage with clients to understand their preferences and provide tailored recommendations.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, ensuring all tools and equipment are sanitised and ready for use.
- Co-operate with the salon management team to ensure the smooth running of the salon and help with salon support tasks when available to do so and when not serving clients.
Skills
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
- Proficiency in cutting, colouring and hair styling methods.
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail.
- Enthusiasm about working with a full column of clients all day and for working supportively and co-operatively as part of a highly professional team.
- Experience working on the salon floor after qualifying to at least NVQ2 level.
We give high priority to staff welfare and staff development and to creating strong and supportive bonds within the salon team. Management have one to one meetings with all members of staff every month to listen, to offer any additional support needed and to explore creative opportunities. There are regular staff social get togethers throughout the year.
