Elite PE and Wellbeing specialise in delivering high quality PE and wellbeing sessions in schools around the North East.
We are looking for enthusiastic, reliable people who have a passion for sport to deliver sessions in our schools to join our team starting as a part time coach delivering after school clubs for a period of between 6-12 weeks, with a view of potentially undertaking an apprenticeship with us as a Junior PE coach on an 18 month course
At the end of the apprenticeship you will have gained a wealth of knowledge and qualifications including:
- · Recognised Coaching Certificates in up to 10 different sports
- · Level 3 apprenticeship in Community Sport and Health Officer or Level 4 Primary PE Sports Coach depending on previous experience/qualifications
- · Child Protection & First Aid Certificate
- · Enhanced DBS clearance
- · Experience and knowledge of working with children & young people.
- · Competent in literacy & numeracy to a level 2 standard
- · Be able to plan a range of innovative coaching sessions and programs
- · To be able to deliver high quality sports coaching sessions to children and young people
- · Develop and inspire young people to live and lead active lifestyles
- ·To have gained a vast knowledge of the school PE National Curriculum
Your main duties during the apprenticeship will include:
Completing your tutor assisted learner folder and files as part of your apprenticeship
Assisting the delivery of high quality PE sessions, beginning with assisting a senior sports coach, and using our apprenticeship pathway throughout your time with the company, ending with you delivering your own curriculum based sessions, as well as OSHL (Out of school learning hours), which includes breakfast clubs, lunch time clubs, after school clubs and holiday camps
