Counterbalance FLT Driver
Location: Shrewsbury
Pay Rate: £13.00 - £13.50 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday, Day Shifts
About the Role
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Counterbalance FLT Driver to join a well-established company based in Shrewsbury. This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy and supportive team, with the potential to secure a permanent position following a successful temporary period.
The successful candidate will be responsible for operating a Counterbalance Forklift Truck safely and efficiently, supporting warehouse operations, and ensuring materials and finished products are moved accurately throughout the site.
Key Responsibilities
- Operating a Counterbalance Forklift Truck in a safe and efficient manner.
- Loading and unloading deliveries.
- Transporting stock and materials throughout the warehouse and production areas.
- Stacking and storing goods safely.
- Assisting with stock movements and inventory control.
- Carrying out routine FLT safety checks.
- Supporting general warehouse duties when required.
- Maintaining a clean and organised working environment.
- Adhering to all health and safety procedures.
Requirements
- Valid Counterbalance FLT licence (RTITB, ITSSAR, AITT or equivalent).
- Previous experience operating a Counterbalance Forklift Truck.
- Good understanding of warehouse operations and health and safety procedures.
- Reliable, punctual and able to work independently.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
