Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes, supervising kitchen staff, and ensuring the smooth operation of the kitchen. Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to recipes and presentation standards
- Supervise and manage kitchen staff, including training and mentoring team members
- Oversee food production processes to ensure quality, consistency, and safety compliance
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure the timely procurement of ingredients and kitchen supplies
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen environment in accordance with food safety regulations
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with stock control procedures
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service delivery
- Develop new menu items in line with current culinary trends and customer preferences
- Ensure all food safety standards are adhered to at all times
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a similar role within a busy restaurant or hospitality setting
- Supervising experience is highly desirable, demonstrating leadership capabilities
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food production processes
- Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate staff effectively
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in kitchen hygiene
- Experience in restaurant operations, including serving and customer service skills
- Ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining attention to detail
- Culinary qualifications or relevant certifications are preferred but not essential for highly experienced candidates
- Passion for culinary arts and a commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences
Pay: £10.00-£16.00 per hour
