We are currently recruiting for a Production Supervisor / Machine Operator to join a well-established manufacturing business based in Brislington, Bristol.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced machine operator who is looking to progress into a supervisory and production management role. Full training will be provided, with a clear pathway to overseeing a small production operation consisting of approximately 10 employees and 5 production machines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operating production machinery safely and efficiently
- Learning all aspects of the manufacturing process
- Managing daily production schedules and workflow
- Supervising and supporting a small production team
- Monitoring productivity and quality standards
- Coordinating workloads to ensure production targets are achieved
- Maintaining a safe and organised working environment
- Troubleshooting production issues and escalating where necessary
Production Equipment Includes:
- Laminating Machines
- Die Cutter
- Platen Die Cutter
- Guillotine
Essential Requirements:
- Previous machine operating experience within a manufacturing or production environment
- Experience leading, supervising, mentoring, or managing a team
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and changing priorities
- Good understanding of production processes and meeting production targets
- Physically fit and capable of working in a hands-on manufacturing environment
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work independently and make informed decisions
- Good attention to detail and commitment to quality standards
- Reliable with excellent attendance and punctuality
Desirable Requirements:
- Previous experience within a production supervisory or team leader role
- Experience operating laminators, die cutters, guillotines, or similar machinery
- Knowledge of continuous improvement and lean manufacturing principles
- Forklift licence or previous forklift experience
- Experience planning production schedules and managing workflow
