Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and professional Van Driver 3.5T to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely collecting goods from various locations, ensuring timely and efficient service. This role requires a strong focus on safety, excellent communication skills, and the ability to handling lifting weights betweek 8-15kg repetatively . The position offers an opportunity to work within a dynamic environment, supporting the smooth operation of our logistics services.
Duties
- Be the heartbeat of our business as you are the face of the business
- Safely operate a 3.5-ton van for daily deliveries across designated routes
- Loading goods, ensuring items are secured properly for transit
- Communicate effectively with office regarding delivery times and any issues encountered
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance needs promptly
- Assist with warehouse duties such as stock organisation and inventory checks when required
- Handle heavy lifting of goods, adhering to health and safety guidelines at all times
- Maintain accurate collection documentation and logs
Experience
- Previous experience as a driver or in commercial driving roles i
- Valid driver’s licence with a maxium 6 points
- Experience in warehouse operations or logistics is advantageous
- Familiarity with heavy lifting techniques and safety procedures
- Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and clients
- Ability to navigate urban and rural routes efficiently using GPS or maps
