About the role
We’re looking for a reliable and dedicated Domestic Aide to join our Facilities Team.
Our domestic team plays a vital role in ensuring the hospice remains a clean, safe and welcoming environment for patients, visitors and staff. This is an important role where your work directly contributes to the comfort, dignity and wellbeing of those we support. The successful applicant will work Monday to Friday 10:00 to 16:00.
Key responsibilities
- Carry out cleaning duties in line with agreed schedules and standards
- Maintain high levels of cleanliness across all hospice areas
- Follow infection prevention and control procedures
- Adapt daily tasks as needed to respond to changing priorities
- Work both independently and as part of a supportive team
- Show sensitivity and respect when working in patient and family areas
About you
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has at least 6 months’ experience in a commercial cleaning environment
- Is able to work independently and use initiative
- Takes pride in delivering high standards of work
- Is a team player with a flexible approach
- Demonstrates kindness, discretion and respect around patients and families
- Has basic literacy and numeracy skills
