Salary: £28,295 – £42,440 basic + overtime + travel time + call-out + retention payments

About the Role
We are recruiting an experienced Fire Engineer to join a growing national team delivering essential life safety services across a range of commercial and residential sites.
This is a mobile field-based role covering varied locations daily. You will be responsible for ensuring fire and life safety systems are fully operational, compliant, and maintained to required standards.
You will represent the business on-site, working directly with clients and delivering a high standard of service and technical expertise.
Key Responsibilities
- Service, maintain and test fire alarm systems (BS5839-1 compliant)
- Work on emergency lighting, AOVs, fire extinguishers, nurse call systems and access control systems
- Diagnose faults and complete repairs, aiming for first-time fixes where possible
- Complete accurate and timely engineer service reports
- Identify and report system defects, deviations and compliance issues
- Manage van stock levels and liaise with internal teams for replenishment
- Work in line with all Health and Safety procedures and reporting requirements
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Fire Engineer working with fire alarm systems (analogue addressable and conventional)
- Strong understanding of BS5839 standards (Parts 1 and 6 essential)
- FIA training or equivalent qualification desirable
- Full UK driving licence
- Good IT literacy for reporting and documentation
- Strong awareness of Health and Safety regulations
- Flexible, proactive approach to mobile field work
