Registered Veterinary Nurse - Southampton
Introduction
Candor Vets is seeking a dedicated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join a busy small animal practice in Southampton. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a growing team committed to delivering exceptional clinical care and outstanding customer service.
The Role
The successful candidate will play a key role in assisting the Head Nurse, contributing to the efficiency, effectiveness, governance, and continuous improvement of clinical activities within the surgery. The practice values team players who are eager to get involved and support their colleagues. Excellent communication skills and an enjoyment of a varied caseload are essential.
The role involves working 4 x 9-hour days per week, with a 1 in 4 weekend rota and duty nights on rotation (averaging 1 every 14 days).
In Your First Month: You will be integrated into the nursing team, familiarising yourself with the practice's protocols, equipment, and current caseload. You will begin assisting with daily clinical duties and supporting the Head Nurse.
By Month Three: You will be confidently managing a varied caseload, actively participating in team meetings, and contributing to the ongoing development of clinical services. You will have a clear understanding of your responsibilities within the out-of-hours rota.
