Hours per week: 37 Monday – Friday, normal working hours

To be considered for this role, you must possess the following:
- Knowledge and understanding of domestic construction techniques
- Ability to write reports
- Relevant experience of contract / project management in a construction environment
- Knowledge of procurement and contract processes and procedures and value for money
- Driving License and mobility
The role:
To manage the delivery of adaptations and alterations that will assist frail and disabled tenants in accordance with agreed policies and practices and the long-term plan to improve accessibility of housing stock within the allocated capital budget provision.
Key accountabilities:
- Manage the implementing the Council’s Adaptations Policy and delivering adaptations to the Council’s residential properties
- Maintaining an accurate an up-to-date record of all adaptations requests and work orders
- Liaison with Occupational Therapists to ensure that adaptations recommendations
- Ensure tenants are kept fully informed regarding the progress of OT referrals and the ordering and delivery of adaptation work
- Representing the team in case meetings
- Requesting and assessing Issuing work orders and instructions to contractors and project management of individual adaptations works
- Perform site inspections and signing off works; ensuring compliance with the specifications
- Arranging for the servicing of or repair of specialist equipment.
- Cost Centre Management responsibility
- Ensuring tenants are means tested as required, raising invoices as required & receiving tenant contributions
- Consulting with Voids Team, City Homes staff and Housing Advise when required
Key requirements:
- Knowledge and understanding of domestic construction techniques

- Knowledge of procurement and contract processes and procedures and value for money
- Experience of working in a Local Authority / Housing Association environment desirable
- Experience of working directly with members of the public is essential
- Working knowledge of the different types and scope of property adaptations
- Driving Licence and the ability to travel between and around sites is essential
