The Wellbeing and Mental Health Service at the University of Chester are seeking 3 skilled and compassionate Mental Health Advisers to join our multi-disciplinary Student Services Department. This is an opportunity to use your professional expertise in a supportive Higher Education environment, helping students to thrive academically and personally.
We have 1 full time (36.5 hours per week), permanent position, 1 part time (29.5 hours per week) permanent position and 1 full time 12 month fixed term contract position available.
Mental Health Advisers play a key role in managing the increasing incidence of complex mental health cases across the University. You will work with a diverse caseload, providing one-to-one support, risk assessments, crisis intervention, group sessions and awareness campaigns. Mental Health Advisers work closely with colleagues in Student Wellbeing, Counselling and Disability & Inclusion, as well as collaborating with other internal teams and external services.
