About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate and flexible Personal Support Assistant to provide one-to-one care and support to an individual. This role is ideal for someone who is patient, reliable, and comfortable adapting to the needs of one service user.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide personalised support and physical assistance on a 1:1 basis
- Assist with personal care following the service user’s preferences, ensuring dignity and respect
- Support with maintaining a safe, clean, and hygienic home environment
- Assist with meal preparation and food shopping when required
- Assist with the administration of prescribed medication as directed
- Support the individual to access the community for social and personal activities when requested
- Promote and maintain the safety, wellbeing, and comfort of the individual at all times
Requirements
- Previous experience in care, support, or healthcare roles is preferred
- A kind, patient, and understanding approach
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to work flexibly across both day and night shifts
- Dependable and responsible attitude
