BSNI Have an excellent opportunity for our manufacturing client based in Banbridge for a chef.
Hours: Day shift
Rate of pay: £15 - £16 DOE
Job duties :
- Prepare and cook meals according to recipes and production schedules.
- Ensure food quality, taste, consistency, and presentation standards.
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and HACCP procedures.
- Portion and package ready meals accurately.
- Monitor stock levels and assist with ingredient ordering.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen/work area.
- Minimize food waste and support efficient production processes.
- Work with the production team to meet daily output targets.
Candidate requirements:
- Previous experience as a chef, cook, or food production operative.
- Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and HACCP procedures.
- Ability to follow recipes and production specifications accurately.
- Strong time-management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production targets.
- Understanding of portion control and quality standards.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
- Food Hygiene Certificate (desirable or required depending on employer).
- Ability to stand for long periods and perform manual handling tasks.
