Housekeeper - Young Adults Residential Home - £12.80per hour
We have an opportunity for a Housekeeper / Cleaner at our 12 bedded Young Adults residential service in the heart of Derby Centre. The service provides care and support for individuals who have severe learning disabilities, acquired brain injuries and complex health needs who require 24-hour specialist care and support.
You will be working up to 25 hrs per week including alternate weekends but the hours you work can be totally flexible! 4 hours per day? 6 hours per day? or do you prefer to just work 3 longer days? We can be totally flexible!
Duties include:
- To clean all allocated rooms including furniture, fittings, fabric, carpets and equipment
- Cleaning the windows, bathrooms and toilets, with particular attention to guidelines for the control of germs and infestation.
- Changing bed linen and ensuring infection control policies are adhered to at all times
- Cleaning all communal areas including kitchen, regular deep clean of areas will also be required.
- Ensure the kitchen area is kept clean, tidy and hygienic at all times and undertake a deep clean of the kitchen area at least once per week.
Experience:
- You will ideally have previous experience working as a Housekeeper and/or Cleaner – preferably within a Residential care home or similar environment.
