We’re now looking for an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver to join our team based on the Tata Steel site in Port Talbot. If you take pride in your work, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and value safety and service, we want to hear from you.
The Role
As a key part of our Site Services operation, you’ll be responsible for:
- Safely loading, securing, and transporting materials across site
- Working proactively and efficiently to meet operational needs
- Maintaining high standards of safety and compliance
- Delivering a reliable, customer-focused service at all times
What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking a professional driver who is:
- Safety-focused – committed to maintaining a safe working environment
- Customer-driven – delivering a positive, can-do attitude every day
- Experienced – confident working in a haulage environment with strong load security knowledge
- Reliable & self-motivated – able to follow instructions and work independently
Requirements
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence (or site licence with experience)
- Minimum 1 year HGV Class 1 driving experience
- Maximum of 6 penalty points (for insurance purposes)
Package & Benefits
- Shift Pattern: 4 on / 4 off
- 2 × 12-hour day shifts
- 2 × 12-hour night shifts
- Pay Rate: £15.00 per hour (no breaks deducted)
- Weekly Average Pay: £630.00
- 20 days holiday per year inclusive of Bank holidays
- Company pension (auto-enrolment)
- Full uniform & PPE provided

- Pre-employment checks include drug & alcohol testing and licence checks
