Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Telehandler to join our team. The successful candidate will operate telehandlers to move, lift, and place materials on construction sites. This role requires a strong understanding of machinery and the ability to work safely in a dynamic environment. The Telehandler will play a crucial role in ensuring that materials are efficiently transported and positioned for various construction tasks.
Responsibilities
- Operate telehandlers to lift and move materials to designated areas on site.
- Ensure the safe loading and unloading of materials from lorries and storage areas.
- Perform routine checks on equipment to ensure it is in good working condition and report any mechanical issues.
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate the movement of materials, ensuring that all operations are conducted safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
- Assist with basic digging tasks as required, demonstrating versatility in job functions.
Requirements
- Valid commercial driving licence is preferred for operating telehandlers on public roads.
- Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor issues with equipment.
- Previous experience operating telehandlers or similar machinery is advantageous.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
- Excellent communication skills to liaise with team members and supervisors effectively.
- A commitment to safety practices and protocols on site is essential.
