SEN Teaching Assistant – Resource Base | Rushall, Walsall

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive team within a Resource Base, embedded within a mainstream school in Rushall, Walsall. This is a brilliant opportunity for someone who is passionate about making a real difference in the lives of children with special educational needs.
The Role
You will work within a specialist Resource Base integrated into a mainstream school, providing tailored support to pupils with a range of special educational needs. You will work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and wider support staff to deliver inclusive, high-quality education and support the development, confidence, and wellbeing of every child in your care.
Position Details
- Location: Resource Base within a Mainstream School, Rushall, Walsall
- Hours: 08:30 – 15:30, Monday to Friday (5 days per week)
- Start Date: September 2025
Essential Requirements
- Minimum Level 2 qualification in Childcare or Supporting Teaching and Learning (or equivalent)
- Previous experience working with children with SEN or additional learning needs is desirable
- A patient, empathetic, and nurturing approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A commitment to safeguarding and the welfare of children
DBS / Safeguarding
This role requires an Enhanced DBS check. Applicants must either hold a current DBS certificate registered on the Update Service, or be willing to apply for a new Enhanced DBS disclosure upon registration.
