Café Supervisor – 35 Hours per Week
Location: Jesmond & Gosforth Cafés
Hours: 35 hours per week
Working Pattern: Must be available to work weekdays and weekends between 8:00am and 5:30pm.
We're looking for a fun, friendly, energetic and creative Café Supervisor to join our growing independent café business.

About the Role
Based across our Jesmond and Gosforth cafés, you'll support the day-to-day running of the business, lead shifts, and help create a welcoming experience for every customer.
You'll be responsible for:
- Leading the team in the Café Manager's absence.
- Preparing, cooking and presenting food to a high standard.
- Preparing and serving high-quality coffees and other beverages.
- Delivering outstanding customer service.
- Maintaining excellent food hygiene and cleanliness standards.
- Managing stock, placing food orders and reducing waste.
- Ensuring food safety, allergen procedures and health & safety standards are followed.
- Supporting and motivating the team to deliver excellent service.
- Working efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards.
About You
We're looking for someone who:
- Has previous experience working in hospitality.
- Has previous supervisory or team-leading experience.
- Is barista trained and confident making a range of coffees.
- Has excellent customer service skills.
- Is fun, friendly, enthusiastic and enjoys working with people.
- Is creative, proactive and takes pride in their work.
- Can remain calm under pressure and work well as part of a team.
- Is organised, reliable and has a positive attitude.
- Is willing to work across both our Jesmond and Gosforth cafés.
Previous food preparation experience is beneficial but not essential. Full training will be provided for the right candidate who is eager to learn and develop.
