Weigher – Large-Scale Cake Manufacturing Wellingborough | £13.91 per hour | Monday–Friday, 5:30am – 2:30pm

Behind every perfect product is a skilled Industrial Weigher who ensures each batch starts with the exact quantities of ingredients – measured to the gram – ready for large-scale mixing and baking.
We’re a high-volume, high-standards operation, and accuracy at this stage is critical to keeping production flowing.
The Role This is a hands-on, factory-floor role in a fast-paced industrial bakery. You’ll be working with large quantities of raw ingredients, weighing them accurately to strict recipes and preparing them for the mixing process.
You’ll be operating industrial weighing and batching equipment, recording data, and making sure every mix meets exact specifications before it moves down the line.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Weighing and measuring bulk ingredients with high accuracy.
- Preparing batches according to recipes, formulas, and production schedules
- Monitoring and adjusting mixing times, speeds, and temperatures.
- Recording all measurements and production data.
- Maintaining cleanliness of weighing and mixing areas.
- Following strict HACCP, food safety, and COSHH procedures.
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience weighing ingredients in a food manufacturing environment.
- Strong numerical skills and attention to detail – accuracy is essential.
- Comfortable working in a busy, warm, and physically active factory setting.
- Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and health & safety procedures.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a production team.
- Physically fit – able to lift and move bags or containers of ingredients.
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
