Rooted in the Prestwich community we provide a modern and welcoming space to work, meet, talk and enjoy great food and coffee.
We are expanding our team and looking for a part-time Barista to join us, working Front of House and serving our customers with a smile.
Working a minimum of 3 shifts a week and able to cover more when needed.
Working any day of the week including weekends on a rota - no set days.
What you will be doing:
- Greet all customers with a friendly smile and demonstrate excellent customer service.
- Be prepared and ready to suggest and describe menu items to customers where needed and upsell products to maximise sales.
- Key orders into the till, take payment, pass food orders through to the kitchen.
- Prepare and serve coffees, teas, smoothies and other drinks, ensuring orders are prepared quickly, accurately and to a high standard.
- Serve food orders alongside the drinks.
- Maintain a clean, hygienic, and organised work area at all times and follow start-up and shut-down procedures.
- Monitor stock and assist with ordering to ensure appropriate stock levels are maintained.
- Cash up at the end of the day and complete daily admin, run reports, fill in end-of-day form.
- We like all our staff to be cross-trained wherever possible so you will be expected to be flexible and willing to assist in other areas when needed including washing-up, cleaning, and food prep if needed - full training and support will be given for these tasks.
What we are looking for:
- ESSENTIAL - experience as a Barista, experience making specialty coffees, similar work experience in a coffee shop, restaurant or hotel.
- ESSENTIAL - flexible to cover extra shifts when needed.
- Friendly and helpful character with a willingness to learn and take direction from others.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing your work and multi-tasking.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Great communication skills and able to work in a team.
- Latte Art skills would be highly beneficial, so please make sure this is prominent on your CV!!
