Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Care Home Cleaner to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment within our care facility. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring high standards of hygiene and cleanliness are upheld, contributing to the wellbeing and comfort of residents and staff alike. Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of all areas within the care home, including bedrooms, communal spaces, bathrooms, and kitchens.
- Use appropriate cleaning agents and equipment to ensure surfaces are sanitised effectively.
- Maintain high standards of hygiene by disinfecting frequently touched surfaces regularly.
- Dispose of waste safely and in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Restock cleaning supplies and ensure equipment is maintained in good working order.
- Follow health and safety procedures at all times to minimise risks for residents and staff.
- Report any maintenance issues or hazards promptly to management.
- Adhere to infection control protocols, especially when dealing with vulnerable residents or during outbreaks.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial roles is desirable.
- Experience working in a hospital or healthcare environment is advantageous.
- Knowledge of infection control procedures and health & safety standards.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining a safe environment for residents.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a busy care setting.
