Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Netball Coach to lead and develop our team of players. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, organising, and delivering training sessions, fostering team spirit, and promoting a positive sporting environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity to share your passion for netball while helping players improve their skills and enjoy the game. The position is paid and suitable for individuals with a strong background in sports coaching and teaching.
Duties
- Deliver and adapt the training programmes tailored to different skill levels and age groups
- Lead regular training sessions, ensuring all participants are engaged and motivated
- Organise team practices, matches, and tournaments in accordance with league schedules
- Provide constructive feedback to players to enhance their performance and understanding of the game
- Promote good sportsmanship, teamwork, and discipline among players
- Monitor player progress and maintain accurate records of attendance and development
- Communicate effectively with players, parents, and organisational staff regarding schedules, progress, and upcoming events
- Ensure all activities adhere to health and safety regulations and promote a safe sporting environment
Experience
- Proven experience in sports coaching, particularly in netball or similar team sports
- Experience in teaching or mentoring young people is highly desirable
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to plan engaging training sessions
- Excellent communication skills to motivate players and liaise with parents and colleagues
- A recognised coaching qualification or relevant sports coaching certification is preferred but not essential for all applicants
