We are a farm and food production unit based in Wrangle (15 minutes from Boston).
Role Overview
The Quality Operative ensures the quality and safety of fresh produce, covering raw materials, in-process production, and finished products. The role supports both QC (monitoring and reacting to quality issues) and QA (preventing issues and maintaining standards) as well as helping on the production lines and helping in the factory.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect incoming raw materials against specifications, including product, packaging, and delivery condition; escalate non-conformance
- Conduct in-process quality checks during production and packing; record data to support product acceptance, customer complaints, and specification reviews
- Maintain accurate, audit-ready records with photographic evidence where required
- Use inspection equipment properly and keep work areas clean and organised
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce defects, improve consistency, and strengthen food safety controls
- Working on various other roles within the factory environment.
Compliance
- Follow food safety legislation, customer standards, and site hygiene, health & safety rules
- Escalate any food safety or quality risks promptly
Skills & Attributes
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures
- Confident identifying and reporting defects
- Basic IT and communication skills
- Methodical, organised, and able to work independently or in a team
- Experience in fresh produce or food manufacturing is desirable

Pay: £26,600.00-£37,600.00 per year
