Malo is an independent, family-owned Argentinian empanada shop and deli with locations in Brighton, Kemptown, and Hove. We are passionate about great food, warm hospitality, and creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers, and we’re looking for a new team member to join us!
About the Role
We are currently recruiting a part-time Summer Temp Counter Staff / Team Member (around 15 hours per week)
Your typical shifts will be in our Duke Street store:
Monday 12:00 - 17:00
Tuesday 12:00 - 17:00
Sunday 10:45 - 14:00

As part of our front-of-house team, you will:
- Greet and serve customers with a friendly, positive attitude
- Heat and prepare food orders
- Prepare drinks, including coffee (basic barista skills required)
- Handle payments and operate the till
- Maintain a clean and welcoming workspace
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
- Friendly, reliable, and responsible
- Confident in delivering excellent customer service (previous experience is essential)
- Comfortable preparing coffee (basic barista experience required)
- Able to work both independently and as part of a team
- Flexible and adaptable
- Knowledge of Argentinian cuisine or empanadas is a plus, but not essential.
