Housing Support Worker

Monday- Friday - 9:00am-5:00PM (Full-Time)
35 hours per week
Aspect Housing LTD is a Birmingham-based Support Services Provider working in partnership with Supported Housing Providers to empower vulnerable adults living in HMO-supported accommodation. Our residents may be experiencing challenges such as mental health needs, substance misuse, offending history, homelessness, financial hardship, or physical health conditions.
We are expanding our team and looking for dedicated, compassionate Support Workers who are committed to improving lives and promoting independence.
What You’ll Do
- Provide a minimum of 1 hour of structured, person‑centred support per resident each week
- Carry out weekly well-being and property checks in line with HMO and Supported Exempt Accommodation standards
- Develop and review Support Plans and Risk Assessments
- Encourage independence, life skills, and positive routines
- Support residents with accessing external services (GPs, mental health teams, probation, benefits, etc.)
- Maintain accurate digital records using our mobile/web app
- Report safeguarding concerns promptly and follow internal procedures
- Work collaboratively with management, landlords, and external professionals
- Ensure properties remain safe, compliant, and well-maintained
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 1 year of experience supporting vulnerable adults (HMO or Supported Housing experience preferred)
- Understanding of Supported Exempt Accommodation, RSL frameworks, or HMO compliance (advantageous)
- Confident using smartphones and digital recording systems
- Strong communication skills, empathy, and professional boundaries
- Ability to work independently and manage your own caseload
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain)
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
- Health & Social Care Level 2 or above (preferred but not essential)
