About Domiciliary Care
Domiciliary care involves supporting individuals in their own homes to remain safe, healthy, and independent. This may include personal care, assistance with daily tasks, household support, companionship, and any other help required to improve quality of life.
Role-Specific Duties
- Ensure service users are at the heart of care delivery, respecting their wishes and preferences
- Support the efficient running of the service
- Help service users maintain relationships and connections within their local community
- Follow care plans and all guidance on supporting individuals
- Report any changes in service users’ needs to the team leader
- Promote and safeguard the welfare of all individuals supported
Working with Others
- Build positive working relationships with colleagues across the service
- Work cooperatively with multidisciplinary teams to maximise outcomes for service users
- Support service users in maintaining relationships with family, friends, and other important people in their lives
Leading by Example
- Act as a positive role model and ambassador for Grosvenor Care
- Maintain a professional, polite, and respectful attitude at all times
- Seek opportunities for personal and professional growth
Personal and Professional Development
- Work in line with Fundamental Standards and CQC requirements
- Understand the regulatory framework governing care services
- Commit to completing relevant qualifications for the role
- Attend all mandatory and additional training as required
- Follow all policies and procedures
- Be open to continuous learning and development opportunities
