Gomersal Park Hotel is looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Commis Chef to join our busy kitchen team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their culinary skills and build a rewarding career within a professional hospitality environment.
Working alongside experienced chefs, you will assist in the preparation and presentation of high-quality dishes for our hotel guests, restaurant diners, conferences, weddings, and special events.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation and cooking of food to the hotel's standards.
- Maintain high levels of food hygiene, safety, and cleanliness.
- Support senior chefs with daily kitchen operations.
- Prepare ingredients and ensure kitchen stations are fully stocked.
- Help monitor food quality and portion control.
- Follow all food safety and health & safety procedures.
- Contribute positively to a team-focused kitchen environment.
About You
- Previous kitchen experience is desirable but not essential.
- A genuine passion for food and hospitality.
- Willingness to learn and develop culinary skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Flexible approach to working hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Food Hygiene Certificate is advantageous but not essential.
