Unqualified Teaching Assistant - SEN / SEND Support (Rochdale)

£110 - £120 per day (depending on experience)
We are currently recruiting for a motivated and caring Unqualified Teaching Assistant to join a supportive SEND school in Rochdale. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to start or build a career in education, particularly within Special Educational Needs (SEN) support.
You will be working with pupils who have a range of needs including autism, ADHD, SEMH and behavioural challenges, supporting them to engage with learning and develop confidence in the classroom.
The role will involve:

Supporting pupils with SEN on a 1:1 basis and in small groups

Assisting the class teacher with daily classroom activities

Helping manage behaviour and promoting positive learning attitudes

Supporting pupils with emotional, social and academic development

Encouraging engagement and independence in learning

Creating a safe, supportive and inclusive classroom environment
What we're looking for:

Experience working with children or young people (school, care, youth work, sports coaching, support work, etc.)

A positive, patient and resilient attitude

Strong communication and teamwork skills

A genuine interest in working within education and SEN

Willingness to learn and develop on the job

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or happy to pay for a new one
