Pre-school Practitioner Job Role
Sale and Davys Playgroup are seeking a Level 3 Qualified playgroup practitioner to join their motivated team.
Job Type: Permanent
Required:
- 2 years of Early years experience
- Level 3 (or equivalent) in children’s care and Development
- Experience in working in a nursery or Early years setting.
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Some understanding of social media is an advantage, but training will be provided.
- A clear Enhanced DBS check
Applicants should be self-motivated with lots of enthusiasm for working with pre-school children. Sale & Davys Playgroup is a pack-away setting so there is a physical element with regards lifting and storing equipment in their relevant places. Applicants should be qualified to a minimum of Level 3 in early years pre-school education. Ideally, you will have at least 2 years experience of working in this sort of environment but not essential as additional training will be given to help you to achieve the best for both you and the children within our setting. Any additional training (such as paediatric first aid training, safeguarding) would be an advantage. Minimum wage is subject to experience.
Sale & Davys Playgroup currently has 28 hours a week available, Tuesday to Friday. Applicants should be prepared to work between the hours of 8.15am - 4.15pm Monday to Friday. Hours will be determined to suit the needs of the setting while, also, accommodating the applicant's wishes to suit family commitments.
We are currently a team of 5 but are seeking to increase our staff to accommodate rising child numbers. We are extremely friendly, set in a beautiful south Derbyshire village called Barrow upon Trent, on the outskirts of Chellaston and Stenson fields.
We pride ourselves on providing a safe, secure and fun learning environment for our children, who range in age from 2-4 years old. As part of our team you would be responsible for helping plan, organise and implement a range of activities to meet the targets of the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage).
