Job Overview
We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Nursery Cleaner to maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic environment for children, staff, and visitors. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the nursery meets high standards of cleanliness and health regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitise classrooms, play areas, bathrooms and communal areas.
- Vacuum, sweep and mop floors.
- Wipe and disinfect surfaces, toys, and equipment regularly.
- Empty bins and dispose of waste safely.
- Replenish cleaning and hygiene supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper.
- Follow nursery health and safety procedures, including safe use of cleaning chemicals.
- Report maintenance issues or hazards to the Nursery Manager.
- Ensure cleaning tasks are completed according to the daily and weekly cleaning schedule.
- Support infection control procedures to maintain a safe environment for children.
Requirements
- Previous cleaning experience (preferred but not essential).
- Knowledge of basic cleaning techniques and safe chemical handling.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Reliable, punctual, and responsible.
- Good attention to detail.
- Understanding of hygiene standards in childcare settings is an advantage.
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).

Pay: £6,610.00-£7,000.00 per year
