Job Title: Audiology Manager
Location: Worcester
Reporting to: Store Director
Role Overview
The Audiology Manager will lead the operational and commercial performance of the Worcester Audiology business and its associated spoke sites. This role is accountable for delivering sustainable sales growth, maintaining exceptional patient care standards, and ensuring efficient and compliant business operations.
You will act as a key leader within the store, driving team engagement, operational excellence, and a customer-first culture aligned with the Specsavers brand values.
Key Responsibilities Leadership & People Management
- Coach, mentor, and develop colleagues to maximise individual and team performance
- Conduct regular one-to-one meetings, performance reviews, and development planning
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing staff training
- Foster a positive, high-performing, and customer-focused team environment
- Act as a role model for leadership and professionalism
Commercial & Business Performance
- Set, monitor, and achieve sales targets and business objectives
- Analyse KPIs and implement action plans to drive business growth
- Review customer census data to identify opportunities for service and revenue improvement
- Increase audiology awareness and patient numbers through collaboration with optical teams
Operations Management
- Oversee daily operations, ensuring efficiency across all clinics and locations
- Manage rota planning, annual leave, and staffing cover
- Maintain accurate diary management, including clinic scheduling and cancellations
- Ensure smooth administrative processes, including pre-appointment reminders and correspondence
Stock & Financial Control
- Manage stock levels, ordering, and inventory control of hearing aids and consumables
- Process supplier invoices and support financial procedures including banking and cash handling
- Monitor and control costs in line with business objectives
Compliance & Governance
- Ensure adherence to all health & safety, IQIPS, and regulatory requirements
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation and risk assessments
- Stay informed of regulatory changes and implement best practices
- Coordinate health and safety processes across departments
Customer Experience
- Deliver and maintain the highest standards of customer service
- Act as an escalation point for customer concerns and complaints
- Ensure accurate and efficient recording of customer information
- Promote a culture of care, professionalism, and excellence
Administration & Coordination
- Oversee document control and administrative systems
- Coordinate communication with GPs, patients, and third parties
- Support reporting and audit processes
- Maintain organisational structures and internal communication

Person Specification
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Proven leadership and management experience
- Strong organisational and planning skills
- Excellent communication (written and verbal)
- Ability to prioritise and manage multiple demands
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Customer-focused with retail or healthcare experience
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Professional, reliable, and discreet
Desirable:
- Knowledge of audiology or optical products
- Experience within a healthcare or retail environment
