Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Housekeeping Assistant to join our guest house team. The successful candidate will help maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation throughout the property, ensuring guest rooms and communal areas are clean, welcoming, and well prepared. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in their work, has good attention to detail, and is happy working as part of a small team.
Duties
Duties will include:
- Cleaning and preparing guest rooms to a high standard
- Changing bedding and making beds
- Organising laundry and washing
- Folding bedding, towels, and other linen
- Cleaning and maintaining communal areas
- Restocking guest supplies where needed
- Reporting any maintenance issues or damages
- Following health and safety and cleaning procedures
Experience
Previous housekeeping, cleaning, or guest house experience is preferred but not essential, as training can be provided. The ideal candidate will be reliable, organised, physically able to carry out cleaning duties, and have a positive attitude towards guests and other team members.
Pay: £13.00-£15.00 per hour
