JOB OBJECTIVE
- Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, the Tele-handler / Crusher Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operations of the vehicle whilst assisting in the manufacture of briquettes, this by ensuring the crusher and external hoppers are fed by a consistent flow of material
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The responsibilities of the Tele-handler / Crusher Operator include, but are not limited to:
- Operate the Tele-handler in a safe and appropriate manner, abiding by company health, safety and environmental policies at all times and encouraging all employees, sub-contractors and drivers to adopt safety as a culture, by challenging any instance of unsafe attitude and behaviour and reporting non-compliance as necessary
- Ensure outside and inside hoppers are kept full for continuous and maximised feed of material from crusher to mixer
- Maintain good housekeeping standards around the crusher area and factory internal floors
- Ensure the crusher belt drum end is clear of material and keep magnets clear of tramp metal
- Ensure the crusher is routinely greased
- Ensure stock-piler is at correct height and in correct position
- Ensure stock-pile bunding is implemented as required and heap integrity maintained in accordance with company Good Working Practices
- Maintain operational readiness and hygiene of the Tele-handler and carry out daily checks of the vehicle associated plant machinery, completing relevant paperwork and reporting defects as necessary
- Keep all conveyor transfer points clear of fines as part of a daily routine
- Participate as a vital team member and contribute towards the success of the business by assisting in any other duties as required and directed

Shifts: x3 shift rotation
Dayshift: 6am - 2.30pm
Backshift: 2pm - 10.30pm
Nightshift: 10pm-6.30am

Pay: From £12.71 per hour
Experience:
- Telehandler: 1 year (required)
Licence/Certification:
- Driving Licence (preferred)
