Loading Shovel Driver – Green Waste Recycling Site
Join our team as a Loading Shovel Driver at our busy green-waste recycling site and play a key role in keeping our operation running smoothly.
Hours:
- Monday to Friday: 07:30 AM – 5:00 PM
- Occassional Overtime opportunties paid at time and a half
Salary:
- Competive salary provided.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Loading the Screener & Outgoing Vehicles: Operate the loading shovel to efficiently load the screener to ensure there is alway material for outgoing tractor and lorry movements.
- Health & Safety Compliance: Follow company health and safety policy and adhere to safe working procedures to ensure a safe workplace.
- Equipment Checks: Carry out daily pre-use checks and routine inspections to maintain machinery in good working order.
- General Site & Machinery Maintenance: Support the upkeep of site machinery and yard cleanliness as required.
Required Experience:
- Full driving licence and own transport (site is not accessible by public transport).
- Experience and training operating a loading shovel.
- Experience of working in waste management or farm contracting. We need the right candidate to be able to be experienced so they can hit the ground running during our peak period. Unfortunately we do not have time for novice applications.
Desired Experience (Not Essential):
- Accredited machine tickets
- Experience of working in waste management or farm contracting.
