Duties
- Assist the Restaurant General Manager in overseeing daily operations to ensure smooth service flow.
- Supervise and motivate team members, including front-of-house and kitchen staff, to deliver outstanding customer experiences.
- Support food preparation and cooking processes, ensuring adherence to quality standards and recipes.
- Monitor food safety and hygiene practices in compliance with health regulations.
- Manage reservations, seating arrangements, and optimise table utilisation to maximise efficiency.
- Handle customer enquiries and resolve any complaints promptly and professionally.
- Assist in training new staff members, including serving, hospitality, and barista duties as required.
- Oversee stock levels, ordering supplies, and managing inventory to minimise waste.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations within the restaurant environment.
Skills
- Proven experience in supervising or managing within a restaurant or hospitality setting.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety standards.
- Excellent team management and leadership skills with the ability to motivate staff effectively.
- Familiarity with restaurant operations including serving, food production, and kitchen processes.
- Experience in hospitality roles such as serving or barista work is advantageous.
- Good organisational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently under pressure.
- Exceptional communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and guests.
