Job Overview
We are seeking a professional HGV Class 1 Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods across various locations. Responsibilities
- Operate a HGV Class 1 lorry, including tipper vehicles, in compliance with all legal and company regulations
- Conduct pre-journey safety checks on the vehicle and report any issues promptly
- Deliver goods to various destinations in a timely and professional manner
- Ensure all cargo is secured correctly and transported safely throughout the journey
- Complete all necessary paperwork accurately, including delivery notes and logs
- Maintain a clean and well-maintained vehicle, adhering to health and safety standards
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery schedules or issues
- Follow all road safety laws and company policies during driving operations
Qualifications
- Valid HGV Class 1 licence with relevant driving experience
- Proven experience in commercial driving, preferably with delivery driver background
- Experience with artic tipper transportation is advantageous
- Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record
- Knowledge of UK road networks and delivery routes
- Ability to handle physically demanding tasks associated with loading and unloading (if required)
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
