Hillside House Nursery in Hookagate is seeking an experienced and passionate Room Leader to join our warm, supportive, and dedicated team.

About the Role
As Room Leader, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day running of your room, ensuring high standards of care, learning, and development in line with the EYFS. You will lead by example, support and mentor your team, and build strong relationships with children and families.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the daily practice within your room
- Deliver high-quality teaching and learning in line with the EYFS
- Support, mentor, and inspire room staff
- Act as a key person and support children’s individual needs and development
- Plan, observe, and assess children’s learning effectively
- Ensure safeguarding, health and safety, and nursery policies are followed at all times
- Communicate effectively with parents and carers
- Work closely with the nursery management team to support the wider setting
What We’re Looking For
- A Level 3 Early Years qualification (essential)
- Previous experience as a Room Leader or a senior practitioner ready to step up
- Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework
- Confident leadership and organisational skills
- A warm, caring, and professional approach
- A strong commitment to safeguarding and child welfare
