About the Role
As Out of School Club Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the smooth, safe and high-quality running of the club. You will lead from the front — creating a welcoming, stimulating and inclusive environment where children feel secure, respected and inspired.
You will:
- Lead, support and develop a small team of playworkers, setting clear expectations and modelling high standards of practice

- Ensure the setting meets all safeguarding, health & safety and regulatory requirements
- Take responsibility for risk assessments, policies and daily operational procedures
- Manage registers, attendance records and relevant documentation
- Build positive and professional relationships with parents and carers, acting as a key point of contact
- Monitor quality and continually look for ways to develop and enhance the provision
During school holidays, you will lead a full-time programme of activities, trips and themed experiences, ensuring children enjoy enriching opportunities in a safe and well-organised environment.
This is a hands-on management role that requires confidence, initiative and the ability to balance leadership with direct engagement with children.
Essential Requirements
- FULL and relevant Level 3 qualification in Childcare (Desired)
- Proven experience within a childcare, play work or education setting
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding procedures and child development
- Excellent organisational, communication and team leadership skills
- Ability to remain calm, professional and solution-focused in a busy environment
Please note: applications without a full and relevant Level 3 qualification cannot be considered.
