Job Overview
We are looking for a reliable and professional Evening Hotel Attendant to join our on-site team. This is an overnight position that involves monitoring the building, assisting residents, managing bookings, and ensuring the hotel runs smoothly and safely throughout the night. A DBS check will be required.
Responsibilities
- Remain in the office during your shift and handle any check-ins/check-outs.
- Monitor CCTV and report anything unusual or concerning.
- Complete hourly walk-arounds of the hotel to ensure everything is safe and in order.
- Keep communal areas tidy and complete light cleaning tasks as needed.
- Complete small evening duties such as laundry, basic cleaning, and general housekeeping tasks.
- Respond to messages from residents with general queries.
- Manage email communication, including receiving bookings, allocating rooms correctly, and sending confirmation emails.
- Lock up the hotel at 11:30pm and take a sleep break from 11:30pm to 6am.
- Reopen the hotel at 6am, prepare basic breakfast items, and hand over to the day team.
Hours
- Wednesday & Thursday: 4pm–9am (sleep break 11:30pm–6am)
- Alternative Fridays (night shift basis)
- Weekends: Alternating day/night shifts — 9am–4pm / 4pm–6am (sleep break 11:30pm–6am)
Skills
- Experience in hospitality or customer-facing roles is desirable.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Good attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Basic computer skills (email, Excel, online systems).
- Comfortable managing bookings and responding to emails professionally.
- Reliable and able to work overnight.
Compensation
- £20 sleep-in allowance for undisturbed nights.
- If disturbed during the sleep break, you will be paid for any hours worked.
