Summary
We are recruiting a Supplier Compliance Administrator to join our technical team. Reporting to the Supplier Compliance Co-ordinator, this role is key in ensuring all supplier, raw material, ingredient, and packaging information is maintained in line with food safety, quality, legality, and authenticity standards. You will play an important role in supporting compliance, minimising risk, and ensuring that all materials used in production meet both customer and legal requirements.
The role requires a balanced approach, with time spent on the factory floor supporting compliance activities and time dedicated to computer-based documentation and administration
Responsibilities
- Requirement to spend time in on the production floor. Carry out inspections and audits of raw materials, ingredients, and packaging to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Identify, raise, and manage non-conformities, ensuring they are logged, communicated, and resolved within agreed timescales.
- Liaise with suppliers to investigate issues and obtain timely responses.
- Maintain accurate intake records and ensure alignment with specifications.
- Manage stock-related issues, including placing stock on hold, arranging returns or disposal, and liaising with relevant departments.
- Support and, where required, lead investigations into packaging/material issues within production areas.
- Maintain up-to-date certification records for raw materials.
- Support SAP-related activities, including stock checks, traceability, and transactions.
- Provide information to Finance for credit notes and claims where required.
- Contribute to HACCP and Allergen team activities.
- Participate in internal audits and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Assist in the implementation of quality control procedures, work instructions, and documentation.
What we are looking for:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent attention to detail with an analytical and inquisitive approach.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office packages (Excel essential).
- The ability to analyse data and present information clearly.
- Effective organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Experience within a food manufacturing or technical environment (desirable).
- Knowledge of food safety and quality systems (desirable).
- HACCP Level 2 (or willingness to work towards).
