Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled TIG Fabricator (must read drawings)to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for precision welding and fabrication of metal components, primarily using TIG welding techniques. This role requires a strong understanding of sheet metal work, assembly, and mechanical principles to produce high-quality products that meet strict specifications. The ideal applicant will have experience with various hand and power tools, as well as a solid foundation in fabrication processes and basic mathematics.
Duties
- Perform TIG welding on a variety of metals, ensuring precision and adherence to safety standards
- CSCS ADVANTAGEOUS
- Fabricate components from sheet metal according to technical drawings and specifications
- Use hand tools and power tools to cut, shape, and assemble metal parts
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics accurately
- Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure compliance with standards
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations
- Assist in the assembly of fabricated parts into final products or structures
- Troubleshoot welding issues and adjust techniques as necessary for optimal results
Qualifications
- Proven experience in TIG welding, with a strong portfolio of completed projects
- Knowledge of <LOCATION> welding standards and practices
- Proficiency in using hand tools such as grinders, chisels, and measuring devices
- Experience with fabrication involving sheet metal and mechanical assembly
- Familiarity with power tools used in metalworking such as drills, saws, and grinders
- Mechanical knowledge to understand component functions and assembly processes
- Basic mathematical skills for measurements, calculations, and blueprint reading
- Ability to work accurately under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently
