About the role:
Reporting into Toolbank Product Director
Responsible for the ongoing development and improvement of a portfolio of products relevant to a defined category. The Product Manager will negotiate with suppliers, lead new product development & promotional activity and manage all commercial aspects of their ranges as required.
You’ll have a positive outlook that will help you thrive in the achievement of the following daily responsibilities:
- Lead in the selection of products and negotiation of deals for a broad range of Toolbank promotions, to enhance the sales of the defined category.
- Negotiate supplier trading terms and support packages to benefit the group purchases of products within the defined categories.
- Liaise with branches and the National Account team to help them increase their sales performance on specific product ranges.
- Ensure products, product details, regulatory information and certification is maintained on the product file, to ensure accuracy of product catalogue.
What are we looking for?
- Knowledge of Toolbank systems & processes (ideal but not essential).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent negotiation skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Candidates should be commercially orientated and be able to demonstrate success in a commercial discipline such as sales, buying or supply chain management.
- Candidates should be numerate and comfortable operating with large data sets, computer literate with Excel abilities to query and statistical analysis level.
- Working knowledge and understanding of the UK tools market and product (ideal but not essential).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Full UK driving license (essential).
