Assistant Nursery Manager
Claremont Day Nursery is looking for a passionate and quality driven Assistant Nursery Manager to join our friendly, dedicated team.

Claremont is a 49 place, privately owned children's day nursery in the village of Earls Barton, Northamptonshire open 51 weeks a year. We open at 7.30 am and close at 6.00 pm daily. This is a permanent, fulltime position and will be room and office based which does require flexibility across the week to meet the needs of the nursery.
Overall job role will be:
To support and work in partnership with the Owner/Manager and Deputy Manager to lead the implementation of the EYFS, ensuring that the nursery conforms to the statutory requirements and Ofsted compliance.
You will help implement and maintain high standards of care for the children attending the nursery, ensuring basic care needs of individuals are met.
Maintain effective methods of communication, ensuring there is a high level of well-being among the children and staff, driving excellent early years practice throughout the nursery.
Supervise, support, lead and motivate the team to build an enriching and stimulating environment for the children to support their development
Develop the whole team by coaching, mentoring and being a positive role model
Help forge partnerships with parents/carers to increase involvement in their child’s development
Have a strong knowledge and understanding of Safeguarding, Child Protection, and the wider legislative requirements for working with children
You will be responsible for:
Assisting in the effective daily management of the nursery
Having a sound knowledge of Company policies, procedures and expectations
For encouraging excellent hygiene, health & safety and security practice within the nursery
Assisting in supporting the room leaders in their day to day running of each individual room
Ensuring the staff team are planning and providing appropriate daily activities in line with guidance from the EYFS
For keeping yourself up to date with Ofsted requirements and to continually work towards achieving an outstanding nursery
Successful applicants must be able to undertake and provide a clear enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references
Have 2 years or more experience working in a nursery or similar environment
Have experience of being a Nursery Manager or a senior practitioner and has led a small team
Excellent working knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage and current Ofsted framework
Excellent verbal communication skills with staff, children and parents
Able to use written English to write reports and keep clear and accurate records
Administrative and ICT skills

Able to work on own initiative
Calm and caring nature
Empathy and understanding of children under 5

Pay: £27,480.00-£32,240.00 per year
