What Makes Us Different
We know there are lots of care jobs advertised every day.
We also know that many good carers leave because they feel rushed, unsupported or unheard.
At Responsive Care Group, we believe care should be about people, not simply completing tasks.
Yes, there are times when visits are short and we must work within local authority contracts.
But we still expect every visit to be delivered with kindness, dignity and genuine human connection.
We don’t measure success by how quickly you can get through a visit.
We measure success by the difference you make while you’re there.
Are you ready to make a real difference to the people in your community?
Meet Beryl
Beryl is in her 80s and lives alone in a house filled with teacups, stories, and kindness. She thrives on routine, loves a good crossword, and enjoys her garden – especially when someone takes the time to ask about it. You might visit to help her get ready in the morning, prepare a simple meal, and spend a few minutes chatting over a proper cup of tea.
Meet Robert (and Reginald!)
Robert, a retired postman, is adjusting to life after cancer and the loss of his wife. His loyal Jack Russell, Reginald, keeps him company, but he needs a bit more support these days. You might help with medication, warm up a meal, check in on how he’s feeling – and make sure Reginald gets his daily trot around the garden.
You won’t be based in a care home or supporting one person – you’ll visit multiple people throughout your day, providing essential care, practical help, and much-needed companionship to individuals like Maude and Robert.
What You’ll Do - Every Visit Counts
You’ll provide personalised, in-home support to several clients across your shift. Your day might include:
- Personal care (washing, dressing, toileting)
- Medication assistance
- Meal prep and hydration
- Light housekeeping, errands, and laundry
- Mobility support and safe movement
- Attending appointments or short walks
- Companionship and emotional reassurance
- You will work with multiple clients each day, visiting them in their own home
What We’re Looking For
- Someone who is kind, reliable and genuinely enjoys helping other people.
- Someone who notices the little things and understands that sometimes a five-minute conversation can be just as important as the practical support you provide.
- Someone who understands that good care is about encouraging independence wherever possible, not simply doing everything for people.
- No previous experience required – just the right attitude and willingness to learn
- Eligible to work in the UK (without need for sponsorship)
- A full UK driving license and use of your own vehicle (essential)
- Availability to work alternate weekends
- A genuine interest in supporting people to live independently
- Strong communication skills and the confidence to work alone in the community
- A team player who values openness, reliability, and compassionate care
